Finding a Forever Home.
At FarmHouse Rescue, our sanctuary serves as a place where animals we save from a variety of circumstances can live out the rest of their lives in a loving and peaceful environment without fear of further hardship.
Before we rescue an animal, we prepare an area for them in our New Intake Area, and secure all necessary supplies they will require. Upon arrival, we have them examined by a vet and taken to their new home where they will spend time acclimating to their surroundings. Many of the animals we have rescued have required medical attention and it is important that we make sure these animals are healthy and pain free. Then we begin the rehabilitation process to work past any trauma or bad habits they may have picked up along the way.
Once they have settled in, we gradually introduce them to the other animals and volunteers at the farm, and eventually our special visitors and guests. The animals then begin their new journey of helping others through our Animal Assisted Therapy Program where they provide much needed support to our guests and volunteers, as well as those who cannot physically visit the farm.
