The FarmHouse Rescue Story
A Tragic Situation Turned Good.
In 2017, FarmHouse Rescue President and Founder Danielle Judd was in recovery from a severe life-threatening illness that kept her hospitalized for months while pregnant with her third child. Her depression deepened from the side effects of her illness, including seizures, partial hearing and vision loss, memory loss, and brain damage. As she entered organ failure, she made a vow to God, promising that if given another chance, she would devote her life and talents to helping others to better the world.
After making a miraculous recovery and giving birth to a healthy baby boy, Danielle knew what she had to do. To deal with her newfound struggles, she rescued an off-the-track racehorse in an effort to live up to her charitable promises. As she rehabilitated this horse, she realized the horse was rescuing her. That was the start of FarmHouse Rescue and the beginning of all the work.
Since then, FarmHouse Rescue has saved over 70 farm animals that have helped heal countless people. These animals act as ambassadors and therapists to volunteers and guests visiting our 28- acre farm sanctuary in Orange County, California.
Today, FarmHouse Rescue is a sanctuary for animals and humans alike to share in the healing and therapeutic opportunities that the farm has to offer.
